IMPROVE YOUR SIGHT WITH VISUAL TRAINING
information on Visual Training and Bates method
What is the best form of sight prevention?
To prevent is better than to cure!Prevention, early recognition of visual anomalies are the primary aim of the VTC (Visual Training Center) staff. While the importance of preventive eye visits, even when there are no evident symptoms, is generally acknowledged, not all are aware that Optometry, through Visual Analysis, enables to detect in advance the early signs of myopic trend, thus allowing to take prevention measures.
The basic concepts of Visual Training are:
- ” to see ” is a not inborn learning process, so it can be improved by training.
- Visual Training comprises a series of techniques that enable to use more effectively one’s sight, to improve sight comfort, attention, and learning capacity.
- Visual Training increases consciousness, and improves the natural mechanisms that support the visual process.
Visual Training improves sight efficiency, from whatever starting level.
Visual Training is a specific exercise that helps see better: the drills teach how to use most effectively one’s sight. Their particular purpose is to train and relax the eye muscles, also by relaxing mind and body. Some remarkable results in terms of visual and perception capacity are obtained through Visual Training: Tthis method is particularly recommended to treat those sight problems that are commonly connected with the excessive engagement of the eyes to watch of close objects ( study, athletics, precision work, computer, videogames, TV etc.).
To whom is Visual Training most recommended?
There are no agte limits to start a program of Visual Training: It can only be stated that the younger subjects improve more quickly than the older, however it is also true that senior individuals capitalise more rapidly advantages from Visual Training thanks to experience. Visual Training can be used to treat many types of visual defects: insufficient convergency, myopia, hypermetropia, presbyopia, astigmatism, visual stress, astenopia, ambliopia etc. The results obtained are normally excellent, however it must be stressed that they depend on the on the patient’s engagement and steady application of the techniques implemented during the training, and also from the degree of preparadness and commitment of the subject with regards to the training itself.
Is Visual Training useful after Laser or Ortocheratologic treatments?
The treatments to reduce myopia, astigmatism,, or hypermetropia (PRK-LASIK-LTK-RK-ORTO-K), can cause the subject to have difficulty in melting and focusing images. Few session of di Visual Training can consent to improve the visual capacity, to increase the sight comfort, consequently to reduce the effect of these annoying side effects of the treatments.
Can Visual Training help students?
If to see means to learn, to see well means to learn well in less time. In many cases, such statements by the teachers as ” the boy is bright, but not dedicated, …. could perform better…” can be the signal of a hidden visual difficulty that only a careful examination can reveal. The way and easiness to memorise reading and writing , are3 all functions that undergo complicaste processes largely connected to visual function.
How can I know if the Visual Training will be effective in my case?
Your sight problem is not a desease, so our task is not to “heal” you: we provide you advise and techniques which will help you improve your visual capacity. The Visual Training results are in function of the degree of your cooperation and motivation : should these not be available, it would become opportune to stop the training program.
If I follow this training program, will I have to wear glasses or contact lenses?
Also lenses can be regarded as a form of prevention and of visual training. In the course of ophtalmic and of optometric treatment, preventive lenses are used to ease, help and keep steady the results obtained.
Will I have to repeat the Visual Training course in the future?
To See well is a motion based process ( as learning how to ride a byke), for this reason, once the mechanism is learned, it is unlikely to be forgotten. As in any other type of motion activity, there are different levels of efficiency. Your Visual Training program shall improve your sight performance; the extent of this improvement and the length of the program depend from several conditions such as :
- Type and extent of your problem.
- Type of work or study in which you are engaged.
- Your own will to learn and improve.
- Your cooperaqtion to apply the instructions and techniques thaugh.
The training program can in any case require recall sessions once a year- or half a year – which, in case, will be scheduled in the final stage of the training.
Costs.
The basic Visual Examination – the Optometric Visual Analysis, costs from 50 to 120 thousands Lit ( 25.82 Euro to 61.97 Euro) depending on time required ( 25 to i 45 or more minutes ). The cost of visual education and i Visual Training sessions is Lit 80 to 95’000 ( 41.32 Euro to 49.06 Euro), The frequency of these sessions is defined case by case; most standard programs consist in 6 to 8 sessions to take place at intervals of 7 to 15 days.
